What to watch

Medicines, vaccines and medical products require validated temperature ranges, documented handling and quality systems. Air freight is common for high-value or short-shelf-life products.

Providers handling pharma are typically audited to GDP (Good Distribution Practice); a forwarder without GDP processes should say so and use a qualified partner.

Dry ice used as a coolant is regulated as dangerous goods in air transport.

Import permits and registered importers are mandatory in most destination countries.
